Go into your wallet, get those plastics that you've accumulated, and line them up in order of highest to lowest interest rate. Allot a generous amount to the one with the highest interest rate, making your way down respectively until the lowest-interest cards are paid off with the least amount.
Ever received those checks doled out by the credit card companies? I know I do. Now, whatever you do, DO NOT USE these on high-interest cards with huge balances.
I thought you'd never ask. Say you have an outstanding balance of $2,500 on an 11% A.P.R card, and you make a purchase of $600 with the said check with a 25% cash advance, YOU WILL PAY the 25% interest on the $600 until you've paid the entire credit card off.
